I am a PhD Computer Scientist from Brisbane, Australia who has developed a strong interest in search engine optimisation, otherwise know as SEO. So what is SEO? Search Engine Optimisation is the process of causing a website to rank well in the search engines for desired keywords. The work essentially involves determining which phrases (or keywords) that are representative of your webpage or service are likely to be typed into Google or other search engines by users. Once keywords with sufficient search volume are found, steps are taken to cause you’re page to rank well for those keywords in the search engines, thus brining your site targeted traffic.
